OUR STORY
Thanh Tran, Doctor of Optometry, was born and raised in Vietnam. He and his mom moved to the United States when he was 14 years old. Dr. Tran’s mom sacrificed everything she had in Vietnam to move to the US for his education. He succeeded and made her proud. However, he always wanted to do what he is passionate about: cooking.
Growing up, he watched his grandmother and his mother cooking delicious food. He repeated and repeated and repeated the same Bánh Mì recipe. That is what he is serving you today. He dedicates this business to his mom with a beautiful logo: a strong Vietnamese lady wearing the traditional hat, Nón Lá.

First time here and before the lunch rush (11:45) Questions were answered quickly and professionally. I opted for the sweet and spicy pork belly bánh mi sandwich with all the standard fixings; which was pretty large. Service was prompt.
The bread was perfectly toasted and the fixings were perfectly distributed for each bite. I also grabbed a strawberry slush with some boba which was very refreshing. The lunch crowd started forming shortly after. Would definitely eat here again.

Been coming to dr bahn mi since they opened. They have since expanded their menu and everything is so delicious! Such a welcome change to the same old fast food places and Mexican tacos. I’m a customer for life !
